Turn the flying ship around
We’re way too high
Sinking in between each beat
Each beam, we’re way too dry
We’ve hit an iceberg, in the sky
Never mind we hit the beach
In these inflated dreams
Trees groove and break
Whisper as they speak
Tricks and puzzling lies
Evolution has been a downward climb
We’ve climbed way too high
Up these corrugated cardboard trees
We’re abandoned, staying too dry
Touching an ugly sky
I want to know what it was like
Before creatures settled the earth
With the trees and trolls
I don’t want to know what its like
Where creatures evolve to ruins
Without green leaved trees and gnomes
Without a place to call home
I don’t want to be alone
There’s corrugated cardboard
Lining the red brick roads
Tall and wide trees
Corrugated by hand
Cardboard trees situated
In between your hands and mine
Folded corrugated cardboard trees
Always standing, always fine
Stronger with time
How could you walk away?
Digging a seven foot ditch
Above the clouds
You’ve come way too far
To blanket in dust
Been under construction for quite some time
You’ve been under construction
Reaching for the sky for months
We’ve climbed way too high
Up these corrugated cardboard trees
We’re abandoned, staying too dry
Touching an ugly sky
We’ve reached way too high
On corrugated cardboard trees
We’ve stayed way too dry
In these corrugated cardboard trees
Ripping apart the beautiful sky
