Only fifty ships went out to sea today

Many were afraid of the fifty foot waves

I went out for the right reason

In the wrong season

Flying as a feather I was looking for commotion

A journey in motion in the ocean

Towed under, the undertow swept me away

I got lost in the bay

Few ships were out today

For all the right reasons

The weather stormed in

It blew some wind, flew some sand

Tore apart sails derailing the coastline

Ripping the sea from the land

All by nature’s hands

Most were clever not to venture out today

Cause I got lost fifty feet below

The fifty foot waves

I’m fifty feet below the summit

Yet I got to go

I’m fifty feet from the moon

It’s fifty degrees below

As the cool winds continue to blow

I’m fifty below, got too far to go

I’ll make it there another day

The oceans froze over

When I was lost in the bay

I was fifty miles from the nearest boat

The birds soared above

They laughed and crowed

All by myself, I talk, talk, talk

Talk to myself

I rolled the dice

Started walking the talk I was talking

Rolled snake eyes twice, then lost

I was fifty feet from the coast

When I fell through thin ice

Fifty leagues below the surface

Fifty below, I paid the price

I don’t know where to go

The view is incredible in the underwater realm

I don’t want to go

Yet it’s fifty degrees below

I’m fifty feet below the summit

Yet I got to go

I’m fifty feet from the moon

It’s fifty degrees below

As the cool winds continue to blow

I’m fifty below, got too far to go

I’ll make it there another day

I followed the current

Of the frozen waves

Floated with the rip tide

Alongside the creatures and plants

Rode the ocean locomotive

On a natural rail

Relocated from land to sea to land

I climbed a mountain for a perfect fountain

Got lost along the way

Had to turn back

I washed up on the beach yesterday

Just to get lost again today

I’m fifty feet below the summit

Yet I got to go

I’m fifty feet from the moon

It’s fifty degrees below

As the cool winds continue to blow

I’m fifty below, got too far to go

It’ll wait another day

I’ll wait for another day

I’ll make it there another day
