Please don’t mind the poetry

I’m writing all kinds of crazy things down

Making this pad of paper drown

I scream loud
I scream loud
I scream loud
Last week I was whispering
The dark is in the chimney
Smoke in the garage is billowing
I’m from, the fire is underground
The bean sprout is mounting
A semi on a residential street
My heart’s too large
When I climb on trees and glass buildings
The bean sprout takes me to an upward crown
I can’t look down
Without trusting my heart, mind, feet and arms
I jump for life, I’m going to make it to the rope
While the kids on the Lifeguard chair yell
“You crazy kid, that shit’s way too far”
And I open my eyes occasionally while I’m mowing my neighbor’s yard
Then I’m riding my steel bicycle down Clark
I won’t get hit by another car
I peel away like bark
Leaving today for the dark
No time for careful, no time to wait on a star
No reason to whisper, no one has a reason to miss the driving edge
When I scream loud
Why’s she always whispering
When I can’t hear a single thing
I wish she’d scream like me
I scream loud.

Careful what you say quietly
If no one hears why speak at all
I thought I was whispering
Everyone was watching me
I was screaming loud
I was screaming loud
I was screaming loud.

Careful what you say quietly
If no one hears why speak at all
I thought I was whispering
Everyone was watching me
I was screaming loud
I was screaming loud
I was screaming loud.

Careful what you say quietly

If no one hears why speak at all

I thought I was whispering

Everyone was watching me

I was screaming loud.
