I wrote a book today
To share, show and tell
It had a multitude of story lines
Thousands of words from telegraphs
It was about the ones
Who were able to walk away
Co-written by those that had no chance
They couldn’t catch a break
The Cassius Crash

I stared at the cover for hours
The Cassius Crash
There was no time left to borrow
I did not read on any further
Everyone’s got a story to tell
I thought about it
Ten thousands of times, for hours
So I wrote it all down
They were able to walk away
My eyes just gazed
They skipped on home
Footsteps on the grass
Oh, those below
It should have happened different
There still could be more
I won’t walk, I’ll stay and remember

The Cassius Crash picked apart the clouds
And thinned the air
Destroyed the weather (It destroyed the weather)
The Cassius Crash destroyed the weather (it destroyed the weather)

The Cassius Crash picked apart the clouds
And thinned the air
Destroyed the weather (It destroyed the weather)
The Cassius Crash destroyed the weather (it destroyed the weather)

I went to bed to wake up
Tomorrow they were coming here to stay
I woke up to get ready
They were on their way
I found out, it was electrifying
Unable to rob me
So mesmerizing I memorized
I’ll always remember
When the sundial
Shows it’s the right time
I’ll walk to the clouds shore
I won’t walk away

The Cassius Crash picked apart the clouds
And thinned the air
Destroyed the weather (It destroyed the weather)
The Cassius Crash destroyed the weather (it destroyed the weather)

The Cassius Crash picked apart the clouds
And thinned the air
Destroyed the weather (It destroyed the weather)
The Cassius Crash destroyed the weather (it destroyed the weather)

I wrote a book today
And then I chose to throw it all away
Without turning a single page
I threw it all away
To turn the page
I lit a match, my story burned with age
With no plans but to stay
I wrote a book today
I wasn’t a fan
It burns as it lies
In the garbage can
With the greetings, the cards and photographs
My life has changed
I unlocked the rusty cage
So I had the choice
The choice to stay
I did so much today
Sitting in the ash playing with
The pages’ remains
Thinking about the crash
The others were able to walk away
The Cassius Crash picked apart the clouds
And thinned the air
Destroyed the weather (It destroyed the weather)
It’s all over now
I declare I won’t walk away
We’ll all walk again together (We’ll destroy the gray weather)

The Cassius Crash picked apart the clouds
And thinned the air
Destroyed the weather (It destroyed the weather)
The Cassius Crash destroyed the weather (it destroyed the weather)

The Cassius Crash picked apart the clouds
And thinned the air
Destroyed the weather (It destroyed the weather)
The Cassius Crash destroyed the weather (it destroyed the weather)
