It’s that time of year
November – facial hair and Holiday Cheer
I look outside my Studio Window
The snow covers the outside planet – so white it looks clear
Everyone walks around so slow with their heads down
The seasons change, making everyone an annual widow
They lost the summer and miss it so much their eyes could be full of tears
Yah – it’s that time of year
People are drinking whiskey instead of beers
Trading Yuengling for Maker’s
Off the Mark hitting the Mistletoe with homing darts
While fins circle, surrounding all the shops
All these people file down the mall in herds and flocks
A perfect moment for a wolf to enter the room
‘Cause no one can run – there’s ice covering the ground for a thousand blocks
It’s like bowling with bumpers, so easy to clean house you don’t even need a broom
Yah – it’s that time of year
There’s a party every night December 10th and on and on
Everyone’s feeling cooler than every other fish in the pond
All the bird’s are covered in snow they look like Swans
I got to get up and slip on some wool socks – a winter cap to cover up my locks
Shopping list with all my friends and family’s each and every wish jotted down
Money in my pockets – I can spend a couple hundred more than my budget Topps
That’s for real but what’s logic
In 1990 the scientists were right – technology has the power to change the world
Pause: Steve Jobs dreams to make everything done with an iPod, cross functional not stopping till he outshines the sun
To where we can no longer function
Soon http will replace the local business and Herald
Tangled up in wires – all the perils – tech is making me feel sterile
Play: Carry on, drink your pop and munch on your snacks
Fast forward thru life like it’s a commercial
I got to stop and say I miss people walking around neighborhoods saying hello and singing carols
Happy Holidays

That’s what happens this time of year
The Holidays bring sadness along with all the cheers
Christmas bonus checks are cut from the deck
It’s bitter sweet ‘cause it’s not the size of your peers
“What the heck”
Then I remember even the Titanic can ship wreck

The hands spin on the clocks and all the ships are sailing into the docks
Hours later and it’s halfway to closing time at the pub
Everyone’s gotten way too drunk and there’s one guy acting like a chump
Knocking on everyone that says whatssup
Girls raise their hands in mittens to their face – Oh Dear
Like he’s eating from the chips and double dipping
The bartender doesn’t understand why he’s tripping
Acting like oil, crude
I didn’t know the Grinch could grow a beard
Then again he doesn’t have that Go – Getter Attitude
He can’t even look into the mirror
One thing’s for sure he’s not in the Shower & Shaving Mood
As he’s about to hit a smaller dude for fun – he runs – and the bouncer throws him in the alley
‘That was your last chance you’re done’
He’s got to turn his life around starting from the inside out with his stocking cap and rally
He needs someone like Sally
It just goes to show
The Holidays aren’t the same across the board
Not everyone is checking off the days with tallies
I put on my glasses so I can see 20/20 to re-write my list
The Holidays are 50/50 – peaks and valleys

That’s what happens this time of year
The Holidays bring sadness along with all the cheers
Christmas bonus checks are cut from the deck
It’s bitter sweet ‘cause it’s not the size of your peers
“What the heck”
Then I remember even the Titanic can ship wreck
