The Glass Plateaus (King of ken) by dca

Push or pull
Me by the rope
Push or pull
Me down the road
Push or pull
Me through the tolls
Whisper in my ear
What I need to know
Fill the air
From my hair to my chin
I want to ascend higher than
The Glass Plateaus

We can do anything
Rattling through my head
Since I was a kid
I remember when
I saw a stone walk on water
Weaving through a well of desires
I drag myself ahead
Through the muck and the mire
To speak to the King of ken
Climbing on vents
And limbs
To the top of Glass Plateaus

Thought after thought
Ripping through the webs
I lie awake in bed
Is Sacrifice alive and well
An old man begs
A cup of change rests on a desk
Loses its taste with age
Where’d we be
Without the Halos above our heads
The Glass Plateaus

Push or pull
Me by the rope
Push or pull
Me down the road
Push or pull
Me through the tolls
Whisper in my ear
What I need to know
Fill the air
From my hair to my chin
I want to ascend higher than
The Glass Plateaus

Push or pull
Me by the rope
Push or pull
Me all alone
Push or pull
Me into the undertow
King of ken
Hold up the sky
And cover my eyes
Drag me in
To the depths
And watch me climb out alive
The Glass Plateaus
The Glass Plateaus
